Roza Ghana

 

Many of the young people Roza worked with in New York came from the Buduburam Camp in Ghana. They gave stories of hardship and need for general support for programs on the camp. About 90% of the young people clearly stated that getting involved in sporting activities helped them cope with the trauma of the war and daily life challenges as well as circumstances on Buduburam Camp.

In August 2001, Rufus Arkoi, the executive director and Joseph Glenn, sport director visited the Buduburam Refugee camp in Ghana and made some donations (uniforms, balls, trophies and cash) to the sporting authorities on the camp.
